SAYO-Y Online Training Subscription

The Survey of Academic and Youth Outcomes (SAYO) is designed to complement APT or to be used on its own, SAYO S by staff and SAYO T by teachers. SAYO measures eight outcome areas that research suggests are linked to long-term positive development and academic and life success in afterschool program youth. SAYO is adaptable; programs collect data on the outcomes aligned with their goals and practices in an easy to use pre- and post-test that demonstrates changes and gains made over the course of the year. The Assessment of Program Practices Tool (APT) is designed to complement SAYO by helping programs evaluate and strengthen quality practices that research suggests are linked with SAYO outcomes. APT looks at the overall afterschool program, homework time and activities with two comprehensive tools that combine observation and self-assessment. APT is designed to complement SAYO, but can also be used on its own. Select this option for 1-year of access to the APT online training. The Survey of Academic and Youth Outcomes Youth Survey (SAYO Y) is designed to complement the SAYO S and T and the APT, or to be used on its own. SAYO Y is to be completed by youth online. Research suggests that certain youth experiences and outcomes are critical to youth's future success. In line with this research, the SAYO Y is comprised of three surveys; youth's experiences in the afterschool program; youth's sense of competence; and youth's future planning and expectations. This product provides an introduction to the SAYO-Y tool.
